8:00am – 5:00pm
Warrensburg, MO
8 Hour Police Driving Refresher Course: Provides officers with the enhanced skills and refinement of existing skills in safe vehicle operation in today’s traffic environment. Officers should have taken a Basic Driving Course in the past 3 years.
For this driving course, it is encouraged that the participant brings a vehicle that they will use for their day-to-day job duties with their department. The participant can use their duty vehicle on the driving course so they can receive real-world training related to the vehicle used on a day-to-day basis. If you choose not to use your own duty vehicle for the driving course, the Missouri Safety Center is able to provide one; however, it may not meet the standards of your current vehicle.
**Tuition for the class is FREE. Funding is provided by MoDot Highway Safety and Traffic Division.**
INSTRUCTOR:
Mike Perkins, Senior Program Manager for the Transportation Safety Division of the Missouri Safety Center, will be the instructor for this course. Mike provides training and oversite for all of the Missouri Safety Center driving programs including Driver Improvement, Driver’s Education, Police Driving, and Motorcycle Safety. Mike has 26 years of experience in Law Enforcement and Police Driving.
